Observations in the month of March, 2021

The world
The freeze is breaking up. A few green shoots are poking through the dead leaves in the strip of garden along the sidewalk. Are they the bulbs I planted in the fall, or things that were here before we arrived? Time will tell.

The kiddo
Seems to really LIKE food. It’s hard to tell because there’s nothing he doesn’t want to put in his mouth, but he I think he’s pleased and happy about the sensations of food in his mouth.

Me
Somehow over the past month and a half I have failed my body. My neck hurts enough to spread up into head aches. My back aches, my sides are tight, I think my muscles were so tight they gave me gas pain yesterday. I need to move!

Fruiting bodies are
meant to be eaten,

It only makes sense when the seeds

fertilized.

given our septic-system and all)

But not to have seeds
in the fruit, even one?

What’s the point? Even humans can eat ’em.
No good will be done
for the tree
or the species.

What a highly domesticated
pampered and paupered
strange little symbiote
